    http://dianedeans.org/event/1770-heatherington-road-public-open-house/
    14:30-19:00
    2018-01-18

You are invited to a public open house on Thursday, January 18 to explore the future plans for 1770 Heatherington Road. This open house will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Albion-Heatherington Recreation Centre gym, located at 1560 Heatherington Road.

This community consultation project stems from the Building Better Revitalized Neighbourhoods (BBRN), which looked at programs and initiatives that could help strengthen the Heatherington neighbourhood. Using community feedback from BBRN, City staff have formed some preliminary development options for the site of 1770 Heatherington Road. At this open house you will be able to speak with City staff about future developments at this site, including a new park and other economic development programs and initiatives; and see and discuss the concept drawing for 1770 Heatherington Road. The Albion-Heatherington Recreation Center is accessible, however If you require specific accommodations, please contact Selma Hassan at selma.hassan@ottawa.ca, or by phone at 613-580-2424 x25192 by January 8.

Revised Site Plan Application for 195 Meandering Brook Drive: Public Meeting

    http://dianedeans.org/event/revised-site-plan-application-for-195-meandering-brook-drive-public-meeting/
    18:45-20:00
    2018-01-30

The City of Ottawa’s Planning & Growth Management Department is ready to consider the site plan for the lands known as 195 Meandering Brook Drive. This property is located at the northeast intersection of Lester Road and Meandering Brook Drive approximately 220 metres west of Bank Street in the community of Deerfield Village.

In 2016, a revised site plan was submitted which reduced the number of units to 156. The apartment units are located within five buildings, each with 12 units. A total of 60 parking spaces are proposed for the low-rise apartments along with 24 visitor parking spaces. 17 townhome blocks are proposed with a total of 96 units, each with 2 parking spaces provided.  30 bicycle parking spaces are also provided for the site.

The site will include a right-in right-out only access from Lester Road, however Valecraft is no longer including a signalized intersection at the intersection of Lester Road and Meandering Brook Drive.

I invite you to attend a public information meeting where I have asked the applicant to present their application to the community and explain why the traffic signal is not included. Please join me on:

    Tuesday January 30th, 2018

    6:45 p.m. (presentation to begin at 7:00 p.m.)
Sawmill Creek Pool & Community Centre
    Community Hall
    3880 D’Aoust Ave

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office at 613-580-2480 or by e-mail to diane.deans@ottawa.ca. I look forward to seeing you at the public meeting.
